How to Set Manual Authenication ONU In BDCOM OLT

Today we will know how to manually set authentication on BDCOM OLT on ONU. First of all, what we have to do is, we will manually authenticate the ONUs of the PON Port, we will first configure the authentication manual configuration of that port.

We show them one by one. If you want, you can manually configure each PON port in the same way. It will increase the security of your network.

Set Manual Configure In PON Port:

Switch_config# interface epon 0/1

Switch_config_epon0/1# epon onu-authen-method manual

Change authentication method without 'keep-bind' flag will clear all ONU bind record of the PON port
Are you sure to continue(y/n)?y

Switch_config_epon0/1#exit

Switch_config#write all

Set Manual Authentication in ONU

At the end of the configuration, put an ONU on the EPON port that has been manually configured and then configure it manually. And if it is already connected to the PON Port of your OLT, then they have to be configured manually one by one.

Follow the commands below to manually configure an anu.

Switch>

Switch>ena

Switch# show epon onu-information dynamic

Interface EPON0/1 has bound 1 ONUs dynamic:
IntfName VendorID ModelID MAC Address Description BindType Status Dereg Reason
---------------- -------- ---------- -------------- --------------- -------- ---------------- -----------------
EPON0/1:5 ---- 0x00000000 68cc.6e21.1e4a N/A dynamic registered N/A

Switch#epon conform-onu interface epON 0/1:5

Are you sure to conform the ONU(y/n)?y

Or

Switch#epon confirm-onu interface epON 0/1:5

Are you sure to confirm the ONU(y/n)?y

Switch#write all

If anyone has trouble understanding the above commands, see the image below.

Congratulation hope you can manually configure your ONU from now on. Still, if anyone has a problem understanding, then comment.
