How to setup Parental-Control in TP-Link Router

There are short platforms like Tiktok and Like, but I never support the cringe content in them. The one I used to see was watching Tiktok, I would discard them. I always told people don't go to them. They waste a lot of time. Recently I noticed that when Facebook reels and youtube shorts came up I myself watched these shorts and reels for hours. Suddenly I realized that I wasted a lot of time watching bad content. I am quite a mature person. Now at this age if I spend time on these crappy platforms and later regrade then what will the teenagers do? They are so addicted to these platforms that after wasting time with them they don't even realize that they are doing something wrong. They have no idea about their future. No idea about the reality of life. So it's only natural that they don't regret wasting their time. But parents are thinking about their life and their future. So if we want to get kids out of these addicted places, parents need to be more aware.

Parental Control:

Today I will tell you about a feature through which you can keep your child away from these addicted platforms. That is called Parental control. Well, many people feel about parental control that it requires expensive software, buying paid software, and knowing a lot of rocket science, but that is not the case at all. Even if you have a Wifi router at home, the router has a parental control feature that you can trace or control your child's activities by just enabling it and customizing it. Today I will show you how to set up parental control on TP-Link Router, and how to customize it.

So first you need to enter the page panel of your router. Then you will see many tools from there you will open the parental control feature. See the image below I have marked the Parental Control feature.

You have to create a profile in parental control and you will get 3 options with the profile and you have to set everything together. Below are the 3 options.

1. Basic Info

2. Blocked Content

3. Time Controls

Basic Info:

After coming to Parental Control you need to click on Add to create a profile. Then the basic options will open there, then you have to give any name and select which devices you want to bring under parental control.

Blocked Content:

2nd is that you can decide what content you want to block for the devices that you have selected in Basic Info. If you want, you can stop all types of services like Tiktok, and Likee from here. Moreover, you can keep adult websites closed. You can block any platform with a simple keyword.

Time Controls:

3rd is Time Control. Here you can set a time limit. How many days in a week they can use the internet and how many times they can use the internet. Also, how long they can use the internet before going to sleep at bedtime and how long they can use the internet on holidays, they can configure A-Z if you want.

Conclusion:

I hope everyone has understood how to set up parental control on WiFi routers. If you don't understand then please comment. I will try to support everyone.
