Moreover, there is an opportunity to use new features provided by the company.The new routers are already upgraded to the new version. But there are some older routers that need to be upgraded.
Firmware Update step by step:-
Below is a step by step guide on how to update the firmware of some famous routers.Failure to follow the instructions below may damage your device.Firmware can be upgraded in 2 ways, 1st step is from router page and 2nd step is manual upgrade.
How to Upgrade Firmware of TP Link Router:-
1. First You need to open any browser and visit http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1
2. Login page panel with username and password. tp link default log in username is admin and password too admin.
3. After login then go System tool in it.
4. Then you can see an option is Firmware Upgrade.
5. Here you need to check your current firmware version. If your Firmware version is lower then you need to upgrade your router firmware otherwise not.
6. Then the firmware download should start. Be careful not to turn off your device while downloading and upgrading firmware.
7. After the router is updated, it may take 4-5 minutes to restart.
How to manually Upgrade Firmware of TP Link Router:-
1. Open TP link official website download center. Then download the firmware matching your router model.
2. WARNING If you download the firmware of any other model router and upgrade your router then your device may be damaged.
3. Login page panel with username and password. tp link default log in username is admin and password too admin.
4. After login then go System tool in it.
5. Then you can see an option is Firmware Upgrade.then you need to select firmware file you downloaded and let the update process.
How to manually Upgrade Firmware of Tenda Router:-
1. Open Tenda official website download center. Then download the firmware matching your router model.
2. Then You need to open any browser and visit 192.168.0.1
3. Then Login your tenda page panel.Tenda default log in username is None and password too None.
4. After login then go Administration tool in it.
5. Then you can see an option is Firmware Upgrade.
6. Then you need to select the file you downloaded firmware and let the Upgradation process.
How to Upgrade Firmware of NetGear Router:-
1. First You need to open any browser and visit http://www.routerlogin.net
2. Login with username and password. NetGear router's default login username is admin and password if using the default.
3. After login then go router setting & advance and administration in it.
4. Then you can see an option is Firmware Upgrade.
5. Here you need to check for firmware upgradation. If your Firmware version is lower then you need to upgrade your router firmware otherwise not.
6. Then the firmware download should start. Be careful not to turn off your device while downloading and upgrading firmware. Don't close your browser when your router is upgradeing.
7. After the router is updated, it may take 5-10 minutes to restart.
