How to increase Range:
When we get broadband internet connection from an ISP provider, the importance of a good quality router to run that service is immense. Still, it is seen that we buy any router from the market without realizing it, then after setting it up, it is seen that the wifi range is shallow today. Let's talk about how to increase your WiFi range. You need to add another device to increase the wifi range. It could be a router or a repeater. To increase the wifi range I will configure a router in range extender mode.
All-Details :
1. Extend Range to Main Router
2. Need another Device to Extend the range of SSID
3. Your device may be a repeater or router
Step by Step Configuration:
There are a few steps to follow to increase the wifi range on the TP-link router. To do this you need to follow some steps. It is given below.
Step 1:
Look at the picture above. My main router is TP-Link tl-wr841 and its SSID name is Max. My second router is TP-Link tl-wr940. I will configure it in range extender mode and, Its WiFi SSID name is TP-Link_0392.
Step 2:
If your primary router's mac filtering feature is turned on, then the mac of the 2nd router should be placed on the 1st router. Enable the mac filtering feature on my main router. So I am putting the mac address of the 2nd router in the 1st router.
Step 3:
Then you need to log in to the second router, And with the rest of the configuration.
Step 4:
After logging in to the router, you will go to the Working Mode tool of the router.
After going to the Working Mode tool, 3 options will come up. You select Range Extender mode and then click on Save.
After saving, your router will reboot for a while. After rebooting, connect the router again.
Step 5:
Connect again and go to the router page and go to the Quick Setup tool. Then select Range Extender and click Next.
Step 6:
Then comes Wireless Setting. Then click on the Survey Setup tool. Here you will see all the wireless SSIDs.
Step 7:
See here all the signals coming from the side are coming. Here you can see the all AP list. So I will select MAX. You will see and understand your AP and connect.
Step 8:
Select SSID and connect, then it will look like this. If everything is OK, you will see and click on the next option.
Step 9:
Then comes the network setting. Keep the network type DHCP. Then click on Next.
Step 10:
Congratulations Your configuration is successful. At the end of it all, you click on Finish, and with that, you will see. Your Wifi range has increased.
